Diesel Parts Combos
If your looking for a good all around combo for best fuel mileage
and with best power. This combo works with the stock turbo or an
HX40 turbo. This combo does not require head stubs and is good
for towing and daily driving. Head studs are always a good idea.
Option 1:
100 HP nozzles or injectors
Stock turbo or HX 40 turbo (62 mm turbo is a little laggy)
4 inch down pipe
Cold Air Intake System
Programmer - We prefer the Edge Products
(Comp Box or Edge Attidue)
Fuel Pump - Holley Blue inline with your factory lift pump
Gauges - EGT, Boost and Fuel Pressure
Reset Valves - Intake .010 and Exhaust .016 (stock cam)
Does not require a HOT Rod Pump
Single Disc clutch upgrade is a good idea - South Bend Clutch FO
Option 2:

If your looking for more power, but still have good mileage here is
the combo for you. You can still tow with this combo. Head studs
are recommended for this combo. This combo runs Higher EGT's.
200 HP nozzles or Injector
64/74/80 turbo, 62/74/80 will run hotter
4 Inch (HX 40)Down Pipe
Intake Horn - Banks, Byrd, Crazy Carls, AFE
Crazy Carls Tunnel Ram plate
Cold Air Intake System or a BHAF
Ported stock exhaust manifold and aftermarket 3 piece manifold
Head Studs - We prefer H-11 over ARP
Programmer - Edge Comp or Edge Attidue
Gauges - EGT, Boost and Fuel Pressure
Fire Ringed Head is prefered with this combo
1/2 inch fuel line from pump to filter to injection pump
(Holley Blue or a Holley Black inline with your factory lift pump)
We recommed your remove the banjo bolts and install AN style
fittings with AN hose ends. This will give you greater flow.
Reset Valves - Intake .010 and Exhaust .016 (stock cam)
Hot Rod Pump - optional, does help make more power (40 HP)
but is not require.
Single Disc Clutch is a good idea with a 1 3/8 big input shaft or a
Dual Disc Clutch with a 1 3/8 big input shaft. We recommend the
Dual Disc Clutch from South Bend. The Clutch we like is the FO
clutch South Bend offers.
